A full-time professional martial arts instructor, Sifu Tony Welker has resided in Brownwood Texas since 1981.
Sifu Tony Welker has been training in the field of martial arts for over 19 years. In 1986 he started training with David McCall in the Tae Kwon Do system and achieved his first degree black belt.
He then went on to train with Fabian Nunez (fifth dan and two time world champion kickboxer). Sifu Welker received his second degree black belt with Mr. Nunez under the International Tae Kwon Do (ITF) organization.
In 1996 he began training under the Tracy system of Kenpo. Mr Welker obtained his first, second, and third degree black belt in the Tracy system. Through the years, Sifu Welker has also attended many training seminars under the Gracie family.
Sifu Welker began teaching martial arts as an assistant instructor in 1987 and has been teaching ever since. He has resided in Brownwood, Texas since 1981. During this time he was a partner in the Traditional Karate School.
Sifu Welker is continuing his advanced martial arts training with Soo Hwa Kung Fu Grand Master, Si-Tai Gung Earl Portnoy and the Heart of Texas Martial Arts is part of the Soo Hwa Kung Fu family.
