Hey guys! We had a great Christmas party this year, we all had so much fun! The Christmas tree is so full of Christmas ornaments the kids made, I don’t think you could fit one more onto it. The older kids sat in the back room and watched a movie while the younger guys made most of the ornaments, however, they all came out of their little holes for the food! We would like to thank all of the parents that came out and helped us with all of our different ornament stations, as well as the parents who decided to bring in all of the amazing food, everything that was brought in was so good! Also we would like to thank every person who came in for our party this year, you all added to the great amount of fun and happiness here at the school.

Hey guys! We have our annual Christmas Party coming up next Thursday, December the 9th, from 5:45 to 7:00 PM. It will be the usual, with an overabundance of fun and ornament making! We have been doing this annual party for the past several years and it has always been an amazing amount of fun. Basically, the kids come in and make ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree while the parents come in to hang out, while all have a great time! The party will be a potluck again this year and we would like for you guys to start telling us what you are planning to bring. We always have people bring in the best food! We would like for everyone to come this year and have fun with us! We had a lot of people come last year, but the more the merrier!

Also don’t forget that we are placing Christmas orders on Friday, December 10. We still have a lot of catalogs with 25% off merchandise in them, and we don’t have deals from our providers any time of the year but now! There is a lot of good stuff in those catalogs, and whether you are a newer student needing a new sparring gear set or an older student needing a bigger sparring gear set, now is the time to get it. Not to mention all of the regular items in there, like t-shirts, wristbands, and training equipment that are also very interesting. Make sure that you take a look into that catalog so that you don’t miss out on the sale!

Here at Heart of Texas Martial Arts we have a life word every month for the children to build upon. This month we decided that we would teach the kids about charity, and then we assigned them homework. We held a food drive for the Good Samaritan Ministries, and they did amazingly well! We brought in an astounding amount of canned and dried goods. We are very proud of their efforts in this endeavor. We had hoped to teach them about charity, but in the end, our students showed us they had more charitable spirits than we had ever seen before!

In the Little Dragon class the other night everybody was in line.  As we were getting ready to bow in and start class.  I notice Nelson’s belt an I had to ask him who tie your belt?  Me sir!  Man, he was so proud of it too!  I told him that that was one heck knot.

We had a awesome adult class last night.  The guys trained hard.  We went through a good cardio workout then work on some ground defense.  If you don’t believe just ask Jake.   The guy in the green shirt.
