All of our students went and did amazing jobs! They all gave it one hundred percent and everyone had fun! Next month we are going to the Tumbleweed Tournament in Abilene, anyone who is interested come on in and get a flier to pre-register for it!
I am proud to say that we had 4 students compete at the DFW Karate Championships this weekend. Payton Bartlett, Tori Unsworth, Jessica Montgomery, Jake Suniga. They did a great job representing the academy. I am very proud of them to show the heart they needed to compete at this tournament. I know they had a great time and sure they made some new martial art friends. The results of the tournament:
Payton, Did a great job at her first tournament. I’m very proud of her. She worked extra hard for 3 weeks before competing Payton was very worried and a little scared about competing until she got there. Then she started to have a blast.
Payton competed in demo and was a competitor in forms and sparring.
Tori, did an awesome job, she was in a very large division of 19 girls. Tori tied for 3 place in forms and was a competitor in sparring. Tori’s sparring match was tough, her and the other girl traded back and forth and at the end of the match it was 8 to 8. The match went into overtime and her opponent got a kick in and won the match.
Jessica, Did a great job getting ready for the tournament there was nobody in her form division. But, she did have a sparring division and finished second in sparring.
Jake, what can I say about this guy? Jake had a tough division, he worked extremely hard on his new form to get it prepared for competition and it showed . He always shines when he needs to. He finished second in forms and third in sparring.
When you see these guys give them a congrats or leave a comment here on the blog or our fan page on facebook
