Heart of Texas Martial Arts went to our first AOK tournament of the season. These three students; Quaylen Lykes, Jessica Montgomery, and Rizonn Hendricks did a very good job representing our school.

We are hoping to do as well at our next tournament coming up in a few weeks.
Here at Heart of Texas Martial Arts we have a life word every month for the children to build upon. This month we decided that we would teach the kids about charity, and then we assigned them homework. We held a food drive for the Good Samaritan Ministries, and they did amazingly well! We brought in an astounding amount of canned and dried goods. We are very proud of their efforts in this endeavor. We had hoped to teach them about charity, but in the end, our students showed us 
they had more charitable spirits than we had ever seen before!
Okay Guys, I’m on a mission and I need your help. I need 30 new students in 30 days! If I can get this done I will win a new custom built website! Now this sounds like a lot but I think we can do it. If you have ever wanted to try the martial arts or know someone that is wanting to try, here is your chance! What I’m going to be doing is giving the whole entire month of October FREE to new students! If you are the one referring the student, and the new student signs up with us after the free month, you will receive $20.00 BUCKS for each that signs up under you! It’s a win/win situation!
So come on….get your friends, neighbors and even your crazy uncle to come on down and try the school! Pick up some VIP cards and hand them out!
I would like to thank everybody for coming out to the picnic this year. We had a blast the kids play games ate hamburgers and hotdogs. We got some great pictures of all the fun. If you are a student of Heart of Texas Martial Arts We are going to meet at Hollywood theater. To see the new Karate Kid movie this Saturday June 12. We will be going to the 1:00 showing try to be there 30 minutes early so we all can get together. I have talk to the management and worked out a great price. So, don’t worry about paying I took care of it already. You just need to bring money for your goodies ( popcorn,candy,drinks ect.)

I am pleased to announce that we will now be offering kids BJJ at the Heart of Texas MA . I have been training at the Relson Gracie Academy in Austin, Texas under Phil Cardella .
Phil has given me permission to start a kids BJJ program in Brownwood, affiliated with Relson Gracie Austin academy. This is an exciting time for Heart of Texas MA and Brownwood. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great sport and self-defense program, and I am excited about our endeavor! We will be offering the kids BJJ classes on Thursdays and Saturdays, see the website (www.heartoftexasma.com) for times.
